because i'm trying to learn to draw animals, my love asked me to draw a giraffe. so i did.
title from the beautiful song of the same name, which i was listening to while i was sketching this. cyndi lauper version is my favourite one, definitely. i refuse to listen to celine dion.
and because people keep asking me every now and then how long does it take, i have been counting hours for the current works: 16, 5 hours.
And if you have read this far: what would you like me to draw? it doesn't have to be an animal. just curious.
this is so pretty and magical. i love the stars and the background. and the giraffe and the girl as well of course. and the purse the animal has in its mouth, nice touch
what i would like to see?.. birds would be my first thought. like swallows or eagles or whichever birds come to your mind.

The lines are so delicate and lovely, and even in black and white it gives a feeling of love and comfort in a dream state... the background seems cosmic in its detail and the giraffe's feet are beautifully dreamlike and insubstantial.
As to what I would like you to draw - well, there's the idea of people who are part or becoming trees - its a theme that recurs often in Greek mythology and as a romanticised idea it's heartbreaking and magnificent.
Or anything to do with anything from Mustelidae family, especially from the Mustelinae subfamily (so, martens, wolverines, ferrets, ermine, weasels, stoats and polecats). Just because.

Scully's always, "Look, Mulder, I don't believe that Martians with big elbows are taking over the world." And by the end of the episode, there's Martians with big elbows everywhere! And she's swatting them off with a tennis racket, "I believe you!"
Jännä piirrosidea, enpä muista aiemmin kirahvia dA:ssa nähneeni! Hyvä, ettet piirtänyt kirahvia siivekkääksi tai yksisarviseksi, olisi tullut ehkä turhan My Little Pony... Kirahvin jaloista tuli mieleen Salvador Dalin teokset!
Piirrosidea: kettuja, susia ja siilejä on aina kivaa nähdä piirrettyinä... Vaikka satueläiminä!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Please FULL VIEW all these amazing pieces of ART. Visit the artists pages and give them a :+fav and your support. Thank you for taking the time........
